Our first full week back after the summer break and we have been very busy finding out about our new topics for this half term.
In Maths we have been reminding ourselves of Maths vocabulary and digit value by counting in multiples - year 3 have focussed on 50s and year 4 counting in 25s.
With Friday being Roald Dahl day we have spent all week studying the first chapter in Matilda ‘The reader of books’. As we know, Matilda loves reading and we have been thinking about what makes us love reading different books to ‘transport’ ourselves into far-away places.
We spent time in our Science, Topic and Religious Studies learning creating questions to ask and share the knowledge we already have about the theme we will be investigating. The children had some great ideas and worked really well together preparing themselves for this half term.
