Badger Class began this week embarking on a Buddhist pilgrimage, visiting the eight great places and ended the week investigating the formation of soil! Such a varied week, with lots of learning taking place along the way! This week has been Children's Mental Health Awareness, in Badgers we have been especially mindful each day to reflect upon our feelings and those of others.
During our topic, geography, time we investigated the world of tornadoes and even had a go at making our own (vortex in water) to see the way in which they are able to move so quickly. We also spent some time learning about the science behind storm chasing and the equipment they use to track a tornado.
In science we explored the formation of soil, including visiting our school allotment to observe how compost is made. There were lots of examples of translocation happening ... worms doing their work! On our journey we also took time to practise our road safety, with all these foggy mornings we want to make sure we stay safe!
Friday was NSPCC Number Day, we had great fun looking at how patterns in number and shape work to create stars, everyone was able to challenge their creativity whilst working together to solve some tricky problems! Well done Super Badgers 😊
