Better Together

Greetings Otters!

Here's the plan for today:-

Today we are going to be building upon the learning that we’ve been doing for the last two day.

In this lesson, you will be translating shapes. This means that you are going to be moving a shape on a coordinate grid.

When you translate (move) a shape, it’s important that you don’t change its size, rotate (turn) it or flip it over.

Shapes can move left, right, up or down on a coordinate grid.

You can then use the grid to help you explain how a shape has been moved or work out where to draw a shape in its new position.

The supporting worksheet and answer sheet can be found in the attachments.

We’re moving onto Lesson 3 in the Sherlock Unit of Work. Today, there’s a grammar focus to the lesson. The link to the teaching video is as follows:

As usual follow the video and do the activities as directed by the virtual teacher.

We are going to be following a world history unit on the Shang Dynasty. This isn’t a history topic I’ve ever had the chance to teach before so I’ve been learning lots while I’ve been checking out the content of the lessons. I hope you enjoy it!

Have a great day of learning :)
