Narborough Church of England Primary Academy

Better Together

Friday 17th July

The last day of term has arrived!!! You have been absolute superstars! Do you realise you have spent half the school year at home. You all deserve a medal! So, today is going to look slightly different.

Challenge 1: Thank your home teachers.

Usually at this time of year you say thank you to your teacher in school. This year, you are going to do that for your parents who have had to learn very quickly how to teach you, whilst also looking after and teaching any siblings you may have, maybe also working as well…It’s been really tough. SO, your mission today is to pamper them and make them feel special.

  • Make them a card to say thank you.
  • Prepare a meal or a snack for them/ make them a cup of tea
  • Do some jobs around the house so they can relax (e.g. washing up, hovering, dusting, tidying up the hovel that you call a bedroom….
  • Tell them how grateful you are for all their hard work
  • Give them a massive hug
  • Do what you are told!
  • Be kind 😊

Challenge 2: Test your home teachers.

Your parents have sat beside you, helping you with your home learning for 4 months…Think back over some of the work you have done. Can you devise a test (not too many questions….10 will be fine) based on your home learning to see how much they can remember. Try not to be too mean! (You will need to know the answers yourselves!) Then, be teacher and mark their tests…how did they do?

Challenge 3: Say goodbye

It’s that time of year when we have to say goodbye to the year 6 pupils. They have worked really hard to prepare a speech which I have uploaded to the class story. (The only way I could do this was to put the videos within a powerpoint…very fiddly). Watch their speeches and as they mark their last day of Primary school.

Challenge 4: Welcome the summer!

You have all been absolutely amazing and have worked incredibly hard. Now is the time to sit back and relax. You all deserve a break. Go and have fun!!!!!

Have a fantastic summer holiday!!!!

I look forward to seeing you all in September as our new year 4/5 class!!! :)
