English: Creating a Map and writing instructions
Use the powerpoint below to find out today’s writing tasks.
Click on the link on slide 2 to watch Cressida Cowell explain the first task: creating a map of your imaginary world. Then draw your own map. This will become the setting for your story that you are going to write later in the week, so make it interesting.
Once you have completed you map, you are doing to need to write a set of directions (instructions) to tell the reader how to get from one place to another. Listen to the audio commentary to help you (this starts from slide 8). Then get writing!
Keep your writing and map from today- you will need it later in the week when we will be writing our own stories.
Finally, listen to Cressida Cowell reading the next chapter of How to train your dragon by clicking on the link below.
