You have all been brilliant so far! Well done!

Spellings: Practice spelling some words containing the suffixes less, ment, ful and ness.

Read for pleasure: Spend 10-15 minutes (or more if you want) reading something for pleasure. It could be a story, poem, play, information text, comic, graphic novel or online text/kindle/e-reader. You could also read to a younger or older sibling.

English Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPAG): Exploring verbs

Year 5: Verbs. Page 5 of your Grammar, Punctuation and spelling book.

Year 6: Verbs. Page 6 of your Grammar, Punctuation and spelling book.

Extra challenge: How many different verbs can you find that are synonyms for walking? Try using them in a sentence. What effect does changing the verb have on the reader?

Maths:

Daily 10

Pupils have also been using daily 10 in class to improve this recall of multiplication and division facts. They all know how this works. Click on the link below to access the website.

Science:

Check up on your science experiment. Can you see any changes yet? Record your observations on your worksheet/in your book.

Art:

Get creative....while the sun is still shining, create a piece of art work inspired by the natural world. You can use any medium you wish (drawing, painting, collage, using natural materials...whatever takes your fancy). I'd love to see photos of your work.
